When DENKA SHAGUARD is added to cement, ettringite crystals and CSH gel
are generated within the cement capillaries and pores; imparting fineness to
the microstructure of cement and increasing its water-tightness.

STANDARD MIX PROPORTIONS AND USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
8kg/m3 of cement is recommended. Replace an equivalent amount of sand by
DENKA SHAGUARD when adding into concrete.
Add DENKA SHAGUARD together with cement and other aggregates into
the mixer when mixing the concrete.
HANDLING INSTRUCTIONS / PRECAUTIONS
Put into the mixer together with cement and/or aggregates for well mixing.
Refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use.
Wear protective gear (goggles, mask, gloves, and rubber boots) while handling the product.
Put DENKA SHAGUARD into the concrete mixer together with cement and/or aggregates.
Standard addition rate is 8kg/m3 of concrete. Replace sand by equivalent amount of DENKA
SHAGUARD when preparing the cement mixture
Use a concrete mixer and not an agitator car for mixing DENKA SHAGUARD.
Keep and store in a cool and dry place.
Once opened, the product should be used up completely.
Run trials before use at the actual job site.
